And now January!

January started of not so good for me. I ended up getting bronchitis on New Years Eve and by the time I could finally get into see someone on Sunday, it was borderline Pneumonia. Not very fun! This month was also a month of firsts for Landry. She saw her first snow:

She also finally started crawling normally. She will do it for a little while and then go back to the army crawl because it's easier for her I guess.

Today she also got her first tooth! It's the one on the bottom right side. I don't have a picture of it yet because she's not wanting to show it off quite yet :) I'll try to get one tomorrow!

She also got her first stomach bug and kindly passed it on to me. Not so much fun but luckily it was fairly mild and we all got over it.

I can't believe she is already 8 months old! She loves eating anything you will give her and will growl at you if you don't share fast enough for her likings. She loves playing with other kids and going out and doing stuff. I know I am forgetting all kinds of important stuff that's happened so I'll try to be much better about posting often.

December......

Add ImageOk so on to December. Landry learned some new things this month. She learn to drink from a sippy cup:

She doesn't know how to tip her head back really though so she usually lays down to drink it. She also really got good at army crawling. She can really move! Christmas came and we opened stockings at the house and went and visited family.

Landry got way too many gifts but loved playing with everything when we got home. We are so lucky to have so much family close by!

Sorry for the lack of updates......

So sorry for the lack of updates for the last, oh, two months! Time has been flying by and I just keep forgetting to tell everyone what's going on! I'll do a couple post to cover everything! First off there was Thanksgiving. We went to see Mimi and Papa Roy and all the family was able to be there. Here's a picture of Landry with her grandparents and all her cousins

We also went and saw my family on both sides but didn't take any pictures. I'm horrible about that!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Last week we got out the Christmas decorations and started getting the house ready for Christmas. All the stockings hung by the chimney with care :) Even the dogs have stockings though Chi Chi's is a hand me down from Scout. Still need to change out the picture on it.
A few more decorations on the bar. This is the first time we've had Christmas in this house so it was hard to figure out where to put stuff! The Christmas tree is almost too tall! We had it at our old house which had very high ceilings. Now we just need to get some presents under the tree.
Jason put up all the lights outside. I think he did a great job! I love Christmas time!

Landry is six months old!!! We went to the doctor today and here are the latest stats:

Height: 27" (about 86 percentile)

She's getting so big! She can sit by herself for a little while and she can army crawl all over the place. Last weekend we went and had her six month picture done. Here are a few of them:

Landry got her ears pierced!

On Sunday afternoon, my friend Heather and I took Landry out shopping. While we were out, we stopped by Claire's and got Landry's ears pierced! I've been trying to decide if I wanted to get them pierced now or wait until she was a lot older. I figured now would be the best time so I can take care of them for her and she won't fight me when I have to clean them. Here's a picture of us right before they did it. It took forever for them to mark her ears because she kept looking around! We actually have a video of her getting them pierced but she starts crying pretty hard so I'm not going to post it :( She did pretty good though! They did the first one and it took a few seconds before she realized what happened and started crying. They did the second one really quick and we were done. The store was super crowded and everyone was staring at us because Landry was freaking out. I took her outside while Heather paid for me and Landry immediately calmed down. Hasn't bothered her since! Here's an after picture:
It's kind of hard to see in this picture but they look really cute! Landry is really wanting to start crawling. This week she has started doing this funny little push up thing. I will put her down on her tummy and she will push up with her arms and look around. After a few minutes, she will tense up her body and do a little push up. She holds it for like 5 seconds and then goes back down on her tummy. It's really funny to see! She does it over and over again. Here she is in her "baby push up":I think she's going to be crawling really soon. She is starting to figure it out but can't put it all together quite yet. Until she does, I guess she'll just do some push ups to get into shape :) Here's a video of her doing it a little. She wouldn't do it very long but it's still cute. Ignore my annoying voice.....

Halloween 2010

Landry had a great first Halloween! Friday before Halloween she had her party at her babysitter's house. I'm sure she enjoyed that :) On Saturday, we went to Bass Pro and they had a station to take pictures so Landry and Daddy took a picture together.
After that we went to my school where they were having a Hawkoween carnival. She got to wear her costume but Landry's too little to do much so we did the cake walk and won some cupcakes and had our picture taken.
On Halloween we got her in her costume and took her trick-or-treating to a couple of neighbor's houses. She didn't really like her costume very much but she was a very cute flower. My mom made her costume!
After that, she got ready for bed and got to wear her Halloween PJ's!
Happy Halloween!
