It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
Last week we got out the Christmas decorations and started getting the house ready for Christmas.
All the stockings hung by the chimney with care :) Even the dogs have stockings though Chi Chi's is a hand me down from Scout. Still need to change out the picture on it.
A few more decorations on the bar. This is the first time we've had Christmas in this house so it was hard to figure out where to put stuff!
The Christmas tree is almost too tall! We had it at our old house which had very high ceilings. Now we just need to get some presents under the tree.
Jason put up all the lights outside. I think he did a great job! I love Christmas time!

Landry got her ears pierced!
On Sunday afternoon, my friend Heather and I took Landry out shopping. While we were out, we stopped by Claire's and got Landry's ears pierced! I've been trying to decide if I wanted to get them pierced now or wait until she was a lot older. I figured now would be the best time so I can take care of them for her and she won't fight me when I have to clean them. Here's a picture of us right before they did it. It took forever for them to mark her ears because she kept looking around!
We actually have a video of her getting them pierced but she starts crying pretty hard so I'm not going to post it :( She did pretty good though! They did the first one and it took a few seconds before she realized what happened and started crying. They did the second one really quick and we were done. The store was super crowded and everyone was staring at us because Landry was freaking out. I took her outside while Heather paid for me and Landry immediately calmed down. Hasn't bothered her since! Here's an after picture:
It's kind of hard to see in this picture but they look really cute! Landry is really wanting to start crawling. This week she has started doing this funny little push up thing. I will put her down on her tummy and she will push up with her arms and look around. After a few minutes, she will tense up her body and do a little push up. She holds it for like 5 seconds and then goes back down on her tummy. It's really funny to see! She does it over and over again. Here she is in her "baby push up":
I think she's going to be crawling really soon. She is starting to figure it out but can't put it all together quite yet. Until she does, I guess she'll just do some push ups to get into shape :) Here's a video of her doing it a little. She wouldn't do it very long but it's still cute. Ignore my annoying voice.....

Halloween 2010
Landry had a great first Halloween! Friday before Halloween she had her party at her babysitter's house. I'm sure she enjoyed that :) On Saturday, we went to Bass Pro and they had a station to take pictures so Landry and Daddy took a picture together.
After that we went to my school where they were having a Hawkoween carnival. She got to wear her costume but Landry's too little to do much so we did the cake walk and won some cupcakes and had our picture taken.
On Halloween we got her in her costume and took her trick-or-treating to a couple of neighbor's houses. She didn't really like her costume very much but she was a very cute flower. My mom made her costume!
After that, she got ready for bed and got to wear her Halloween PJ's!
Happy Halloween!

5 Months Old
Landry was 5 months old on Wednesday! I can't believe she is getting so big! Here are some of the things she's been doing in the last month:
-Slept through the night twice so far. Hopefully this will start happening more often!
-Has started eating baby food. So far she's had rice cereal, squash, pears, carrots, bananas, and peas. I think carrots are her favorite so far.
-She can kind of sit on her own. Here's one of her first attempts:
(Yes that's drool covering her shirt and she only had it on for like 10 minutes. Don't you love teething!)
-She is smiling, laughing, and playing all the time. She is a much happier baby now that she's on real foods. Her stomach doesn't hurt her nearly as much.
A couple of weeks ago, I tried to take her to a pumpkin patch and take pictures. Landry wanted no part of it! She wouldn't even look at the camera, much less smile. It was past nap time and she just wanted to go to sleep! We are going to try again this weekend hopefully. Here's the best picture I got from attempt one:
The rest of them looked more like this:
That's her "I'm annoyed" look. She was so over the pumpkin patch! Oh well. We will try again!

Beginning of October.....
Sorry I've been a bad blogger! I've been super busy and haven't had time to post. I have a ton to post about so I'll split it into to posts.
The first week in October was a week of first for Landry. She had her first trip to Canton where my friend Heather proceeded to spill beans all over Landry's stroller, a little later sweet tea on Landry, and then corn all over my car when we were about to leave. Landry was great though :)
That Wednesday, Landry went to the State Fair for the first time. She was very good. We were there all day and she didn't fussy at all. They had a Tom Landry exhibit there and there was a sign out front that said "Landry Entrance" so we had to stop and take a picture.
That Friday was Landry's first football game. She went to the game with me and her Mimi and Papa Roy came and picked her up to spend the night. We took some pictures before she left in her cute tutu.
It was a great week and Landry was very good! She is getting some much easier to take out and do stuff with. Love it!

4 Month Doctor's Appointment
Landry had her 4 month check up today. Here are the current stats:

Weight: 15.3 lbs (74th percentile)
Height: 25 1/2 inches (81st percentile)
Head: 16 1/2 inches (66th percentile)
Still pretty proportional. She's going to be tall like her daddy I think. The doctor said we could start her on foods now so we went home and tried some cereal. Apparently Landry is not a fan of cereal. I don't think she swallowed one bit of it. She was really happy and would open her mouth for the spoon but then she would spit it right back out. Oh well. We'll try it a couple more times and then maybe just move on to veggies. I doubt cereal tastes very good anyway. Here's a couple pictures of her trying her cereal out.

Getting Big
Sorry for the lack of posts. Not much going on around here. Landry is getting so big! I can't believe she will be four months old next week. She's moved up to size 2 diapers a few weeks ago and she's wearing 3-6 month clothes now. She goes to the doctor next week to get her checkup and shots so I'll post her stats then.

First Day Back
Monday I had to go back to work so Landry had to go to the babysitter's for the first time. I got her up and got her ready to go:

She decided she didn't want to eat her bottle and took 15 minutes to eat one ounce. Perfect when I'm on a timeline. I decided to just send her bottle with her. That's when she chose to poop all over her outfit. So we did a wardrobe change and took pictures again:

I finally got her ready to go to Mrs. Marilyn's:

Once we got out of the house, the rest of the day went good for both of us. She had a good day there and it was nice to get back to work. I'm sure I'm going to miss being home with her soon but so far so good!

12 Weeks old
Sorry for the lack of posts. We haven't had much going on and I've been sick for a couple of days. I'm feeling much better now so I'm trying to get back into the swing of things. Landry is 12 weeks old now. I can't believe how fast it has gone by. I go back to work on Monday. I'm excited to get back to a normal routine but I'm going to miss being home with her during the day. Here's a few new things that Landry's doing:
-She's been on 100% formula since last Sunday. I had to switch her before she starts going to daycare. It wasn't as bad of a process as I though it would be and though she wasn't always happy about getting formula, she's used to it now. The hardest feeding to switch was the middle of the night feeding. She was NOT happy the first time I tried to give her formula then.
-She's regressed a little on her sleeping. She was sleeping really well at night and I was hopeful we would be sleeping through the night soon. Well, this week she has started waking up every 4 hours throughout the night. Now I'm having to feed her twice during the night. I may start trying to add a little rice cereal to her bottle at night if this doesn't get better soon!
-Since Wednesday, she can now roll over from her back to her stomach. She rolls over on her left side and flips to her stomach. She's also getting better at scooting herself when she's on her tummy. I have a feeling she's going to be crawling before long. ***UPDATE*** As of this afternoon, she can also roll from her tummy to her back! Getting bigger by the minute!
Here's a few pictures of Miss Landry!

The Game Room
Over the weekend we finally got to work on our game room. Until Saturday, it had been a big empty room. I went to some garage sales on Saturday morning and found a great almost new couch for cheap:
I got on craigslist when I got home and found a pool table for only $250! And it was in Rockwall! We went and looked and it Saturday and then Jason and his friend Matt went and picked it up for us on Sunday.
Of course Jason wouldn't be happy without a TV in the game room so we headed to Best Buy and found a good deal on a 42" Plasma TV.

We still need to get a shelf to put the receiver on, a rack or something for all the pool stuff, and probably an end table. It's almost done though!

Oh lord!
Landry found her thumb on Friday! I have been trying to prevent this from day one. My mom and I walked in from the backyard and this was what we found:

I would pull her thumb out of her mouth and she would just smile at me and put it back in! Luckily I think she forgot about it after her nap. So far she's not done it again but I'm sure it's only a matter of time. The last few days, Landry's been falling asleep while playing on her activity mat. She'll be down there playing and I realize she's not making any noise. I look and she'll be passed clean out.

We've been working on our game room this weekend. I'll have a post about that as soon as we finish! Until then here's one more picture of our "smunchkin"

2 months

Landry had her 2 month doctor's appointment last week. Here's the stats:
Weight: 12 lbs 7 oz (almost 90th percentile)
Length: 23.25 inches (about 80th percentile)
Head: 15.75 inches (about 80th percentile)
I didn't realize she was so big for her age! As you can see, she's smiling like crazy. If you put her on her belly, she will squirm her way across the floor. It takes a while but she can really move when she wants to. Right now she's sleeping for about 6 hours at first at night and then about 3-4 hours after that. Not too bad. This week she has decided she wants to get up at 5:30 which is not making mommy very happy. This week we have also started the switch to formula. By the end of next week, she will be completely on formula. This will make feeding her a lot easier but also much more expensive. She's growing like crazy and I'm going to miss being with her all day when I have to go back to work in a few weeks.
First Post
I decided to start a blog so that all of our friends and family can keep up with what's going on with our family. I'm going to try to be good about posting often. I hope everyone enjoys!
