Easter 2011

Landry got to go Easter egg hunting three time so she had it down by Sunday! The Easter Bunny come to Miss Marilyn's house on Wednesday so she got a bunch of eggs that day. I was at work so I didn't get any pictures of that one. On Saturday, we went up to Lake Pointe with some friends and Landry got to hunt eggs again.
She got three eggs all by herself at this one! I had a hard time making her wait until they said go to start getting them. She saw them all out there and was so mad that I wouldn't let her go! On Sunday, the Easter Bunny came again and left some eggs in the house. She knew what to do at this point and had all the eggs gathered up very quickly. Daddy had taught her how to open the eggs so she got right down to business eating all the goodies inside.

Clapping for herself :)

Putting the eggs in the basket

Eating yummy stuff!

Bluebonnets

I had to go take pictures of Landry in bluebonnets some time this spring. It's almost a rule in Texas to make sure and pull off the side of the road and put you kid in the middle of a random field at least once a year to get that classic picture. We've had like 90 mile per hour winds here the last month it seems but I did the best I could. Here are a couple of the best ones:I've started planning for her 1st birthday party. I can't believe she will be a year old in 6 weeks! We are having a Bugs and Flowers themed party. I've got some decorations, ordered some party favors, and am going to rent a bounce house for the older kiddos to play in. Never had to do this before so hopefully it turns out good!
Landry is getting so big! She pulls up on everything and cruises around as long as she's holding on. Today she even stood by herself for a few seconds a couple of times and loves to jump. She is babbling up a storm too. I think we can officially declare her first word! Well, it's actually a phrase, not just a word. The only thing she says that we understand and she actually means to say is "Thank you!" Yup, raising our daughter to be polite :) We play this game all the time where when she has something in her hand we ask her for it and when she gives it to use we say thank you to her. Sometimes she will repeat it back! Too cute!!!

Last week we went to my aunt house in the country and Landry "rode" (actually just sat) on a four wheeler for the first time. She was pretty proud of herself!

9 months old

A few weeks ago, Landry went for her 9 week doctor's appointment. Here are her stats:

Weight: 19 lbs 1 oz (50th percentile)
Height: 28 1/2 inches (75th percentile)
Head: 18 inches (90th percentile)

Looks like she's tall, skinny, and has a huge head! I think think she was a little off on measuring her head though. I watched her do it and she didn't have it very straight. Oh well. Landry has really slimmed down once she started crawling. She is all over the place these days. She crawls normally now and can really move when she wants to. She is also pulling up on everything. She hasn't started cruising around on the furniture yet but I bet she will in a week or two.

She is such a little stinker too! She will do something she knows is wrong and then when you get onto her, she just looks at you and smiles so sweet and then goes right back to doing it. I swear she has a teenager attitude stuck in a baby's body. We keep saying thank God she's cute or we might kill her :)

Nine months pictures coming very soon but here's one until then (it's from my phone so it's not so clear)!

What we've been up to!

We've been doing a lot since the last time I posted. We played in the snow:
And Daddy made Landry her first snowman:Jason and I went to Disney World with my cheer team from school while Landry spent some time with her Memaw.Miss Marilyn gave Landry her first pig tail and it was so cute! We now have one just about every day.

I was able to get a picture of her two little teeth finally. They are in even more now but this is the best I have for the time being.Last week we went and had her nine month doctor's appointment and we did her nine month pictures. I left all the stats from her doctor at home so I will post soon with the details and her new pictures!

And now January!

January started of not so good for me. I ended up getting bronchitis on New Years Eve and by the time I could finally get into see someone on Sunday, it was borderline Pneumonia. Not very fun! This month was also a month of firsts for Landry. She saw her first snow:

She also finally started crawling normally. She will do it for a little while and then go back to the army crawl because it's easier for her I guess.

Today she also got her first tooth! It's the one on the bottom right side. I don't have a picture of it yet because she's not wanting to show it off quite yet :) I'll try to get one tomorrow!

She also got her first stomach bug and kindly passed it on to me. Not so much fun but luckily it was fairly mild and we all got over it.

I can't believe she is already 8 months old! She loves eating anything you will give her and will growl at you if you don't share fast enough for her likings. She loves playing with other kids and going out and doing stuff. I know I am forgetting all kinds of important stuff that's happened so I'll try to be much better about posting often.

December......

Add ImageOk so on to December. Landry learned some new things this month. She learn to drink from a sippy cup:

She doesn't know how to tip her head back really though so she usually lays down to drink it. She also really got good at army crawling. She can really move! Christmas came and we opened stockings at the house and went and visited family.

Landry got way too many gifts but loved playing with everything when we got home. We are so lucky to have so much family close by!

Sorry for the lack of updates......

So sorry for the lack of updates for the last, oh, two months! Time has been flying by and I just keep forgetting to tell everyone what's going on! I'll do a couple post to cover everything! First off there was Thanksgiving. We went to see Mimi and Papa Roy and all the family was able to be there. Here's a picture of Landry with her grandparents and all her cousins

We also went and saw my family on both sides but didn't take any pictures. I'm horrible about that!
